EMS BENEFITS
FITFAST20’s Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) trainings are not only a safe way but also a fast way to build muscle and thereby benefit people of all ages. Retaining and building muscle can improve the health of professional athletes and senior citizens alike. It has a positive effect on and can help to manage diabetes and arthritis, reduce back and joint pain, boost the metabolic rate as well as self-confidence.
In addition, FITFAST20’s EMS trainings only take 20 minutes every three to four days which means that you can get the same results by spending less time in the gym and more time with all the other things you love.
Why is EMS strength training such a powerful weight loss tool?
Within a single 20-minute EMS training session at FITFAST20 your body will burn up to 500 calories. It does not stop there: in the next up to 4 days your body will continue to burn a total of up to 3 times of the calories burned during the workout. That is called the “afterburn-effect”.
When thinking about weight loss one usually thinks of cardio workouts to achieve this goal. This is mainly because we have been taught for decades that running on a treadmill for hours, using a cross-trainer or biking will burn the most calories. While it is true that cardio will most likely burn more calories during the training than strength training does, cardio training does not have a very long-lasting effect on the resting metabolism and thus the fat burning capacity of your body. Strength training does have exactly that effect. With regular strength training you already raise your resting metabolic rate for around 48 hours after the training. A single 20-minute EMS training session at FITFAST20 will result in a raise of your metabolic rate for up to 4 days! That means that in total you will burn much more calories with an EMS training session at FITFAST20 than with regular strength training or cardio which also – other than our EMS training – is not very friendly on the joints and has a relative high risk for developing injuries.
TIME EFFICIENCY
Only 20 minutes of training once or twice per week (depending on the fitness level and goals) are sufficient and deliver the same or similar results as 6 hours of conventional weight training.
FAT REDUCTION
The impulses activate the metabolism and in addition trigger the so-called “afterburn effect” where muscle cells are constantly consuming energy for up to 4 days after the training. That increases the basal metabolic rate (BMR) and results in more calories/fat being burned compared to conventional weight training
REDUCE BACK PAIN
Part of the full body EMS-Training is the training of the muscles along the spinal column, the stomach and the pelvic floor. Backpain e.g. from sitting at a desk for a long period of time can be targeted specifically with EMS-Training which will result in a reduction in symptoms and an improvement of the overall posture.
BUILD MUSCLE/STRENGTH
EMS-Training provides for additional stimulation of the muscles which as a result leads to an overall increase in muscle mass and strength
joint relief
Other than conventional weight trainings with EMS-Training there is no pressure on the joints since the intensity of the workout only results from electrical stimulation of the muscles and not from heavy weights
IMPROVE PERFORMANCE + ENDURANCE
EMS-Training maximizes muscle strength and capacity and is therefore the perfect and time-efficient method to improve performance and endurance for sports such as cycling, golf, tennis and football.
